Frequently Asked Questions...

When do I apply for tuition assistance?
Families should apply for tuition assistance after they have turned in an application and the student has met the other admissions criteria (academic, behavior, age, etc.) as determined by the principal.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?
You will need your information from the previous tax year. You may contact FAST or Sally Bruno in our school office for assistance.

Is there a cost to apply for tuition assistance?
Yes, FAST charges a small fee to process your application.

Is there a deadline?
Immanuel accepts enrollment applications year-round. Families who apply for school and complete their tuition assistance application before February 15, 2011 receive priority over later applications. It is still possible to receive tuition assistance after February 15, if funds are available.

How is the tuition assistance amount determined?
Immanuel Lutheran School has partnered with FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) as our third-party, confidential, needs-assessment company. Your financial information will be sent directly to them for analysis. The school then uses the recommendation from FAST and grants assistance as it is able. ILS has a restricted amount of aid available. It is possible that families may qualify for more than ILS is able to award.

When will we know the results?
Immanuel Lutheran School will send tuition assistance agreements to all families via mail. For families who have completed their tuition assistance application by February 15, Immanuel will make every effort to notify families by March 11. Those who apply after February 15 will be notified approximately 2 weeks after FAST has received all necessary information.

What if the tuition assistance is not enough?

If your family does not qualify or does not receive as much as you needed, ILS will refund your $300 registration fee. Once the child begins school, the $300 registration fee is non-refundable. The FAST processing fee is non-refundable.
